Pour Out Your Heart to God
Prayer is not just talking to God but also listening for His voice. Pouring out your heart to God is a form of communication with him. Prayer is a two-way, relational communication between a person and God. God wants you to know that he already knows what is on your heart and in your mind. He already knows that thoughts and wants you to be sincere. Psalm 62:8 says, "Trust in him at all times, you people; pour your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.
Psalm 142:1-2 says, I cry aloud to the Lord; I lift my voice to the Lord for mercy. I pour out my complaint before him; before him, I tell my trouble. God wants you to come to Him in Prayer and release all your heavy burdens, cares, and fears. Tell him about all your worries and concerns to keep an open line of communication. Psalm 55:22 says, "Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved."
While in Prayer, it is a good time to think of reasons to pour your heart out to God and to know that God always hears, always understands, always listens with compassion. Therefore, you should feel safe to pour out your heart to God.
